We can help!

Jenn and Hex

At My Charming Canine, we understand your frustration with your dog’s behavior, and your need to have it fixed yesterday! We offer a variety of services tailored to your needs, the age and personality of your dog, and the behaviors you’d like addressed. We have over 20 years of experience resolving behavior problems!

Our methods are both effective and humane, using techniques backed in science rather than hype. We are proud to adhere to a strict code of ethics from both the Pet Professional Guild as well as the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

We investigate the root cause of the behavior, and use a combination of approaches to not just extinguish the problem behavior, but replace it with a win-win behavior instead. Our techniques do not rely on bribery, nor on specific training tools like choke chains, prong collars, or electronic (shock) collars. We promise to listen to you and your dog, and present the best methods for your situation.

We’re here for you for the lasting behavior change you want to see – not quick-fix promises. Whether simply old habits or more complex issues rooted in anxiety and fear, change takes time – but we’re here to support you and show you how to get there!

We offer in-person services at your home or public location within 45 minutes of Reidsville, NC. Virtual consultations available regardless of location. Group classes and Board & Train programs coming soon. Contact us today to see how we can help you!

My last hope was Jenn. She came to my home and evaluated Einey. It is amazing. After only six sessions, he is a different dog. He is following commands, going to his “spot” whenever he is in my mom’s path, and I am able to take calm walks with him. My son, who lives out of town, could not believe Einey’s great behavior, when he was visiting. Jenn deserves her own show!!

Meet Eugene. This little snot grabbed a WHOLE piece of pizza off a side table when we weren’t looking the other day. Just a few weeks ago he would have either gobbled the whole thing up and gotten sick, or growled and snapped at us if we tried to take it from him. Instead, we gave him the “GIVE” command and he gave it up with no fight whatsoever. Eugene has been working really hard on this command in particular, and him being able to do it has led to fewer tears around our house and a very happy puppy. Working with Jenn has been amazing. She has helped us understand not just training techniques, but the “doggy psychology” behind proper training that leads to better outcomes, happy owners and a happy puppy. Thanks, Jenn!
